Cook, eat and enjoy together while preparing plenty of nutritious provisions for the mum-to-be - the Prep-Together guarantees full stomachs and full freezers.

What is a Prep-Together?

At a Prep-Together, friends and family prepare delicious and nutritious meals together for the mum-to-be's upcoming postpartum period.

 

The mum receives:

\ ready-to-eat meals to freeze that are perfectly tailored to her preferences and postnatal needs

\ nutritional knowledge for the postpartum period

\ a lovely half-day with her loved ones, where she and her future well-being take centre stage

\ the half-day is crowned by a shared lunch or dinner where the prepared dishes are tasted

 

Where does the Prep-Together take place and who attends?

The Prep-Together takes place at the mum-to-be's or a participant's home (mostly in the kitchen). In addition to the mum-to-be, anyone who wants to do something good for her (and therefore her baby) can take part. A group size of four to eight people is recommended.

 

How does the Prep-Together work?

We meet in the morning or later in the afternoon at the host's home. In a short introduction, you will learn what is important when cooking for the postpartum period and get to know important foods, spices and dishes. Then it's straight into the kitchen to prepare the dishes. We put most of the prepared food into freezer containers and enjoy the rest on the spot for lunch or dinner. If desired, we can end the Prep-Together with a small closing ritual in honour of the mum-to-be. The event lasts around 3.5 hours.

What and how much do we cook?

This depends on the wishes and preferences of the mum-to-be and the size of the group. As a rule, we cook between four and eight dishes. We cook vegetarian and/or meat-based dishes that are easy to freeze, such as soups, stews or puddings. The quantity is adapted to the space available in Mum's freezer. If she only has limited space, the participants can also make space available in their freezer compartments and bring mum the food after the birth.

What is special about the dishes?
We cook recipes that are based on the ancient knowledge and principles of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is optimally adapted to the physiology of the mum after the birth.

Who provides what?

One person provides their four walls and in particular the kitchen and dining area. This also includes all the necessary kitchen utensils such as saucepans, knives and crockery. If necessary, I bring additional kitchen utensils and appliances. Mum takes along freezer containers to store the cooked food.
